01. Overview
Detective IRA (“the App”, “we”, “our”) is a single-player mystery game for Android, published by NRDDA Tech, Hyderabad, India. You read clues, question suspects, and commit to an accusation. Every case is hand-written.
Key takeaways
- No account, no sign-up. You never give us a name, an email address, or a password.
- Your progress is saved on your device only. Cases solved, rank, detective profile, and settings never leave the phone.
- No analytics, no crash reporting. The game sends us no usage data of any kind.
- The only data leaving your device is what Google AdMob needs to serve ads, plus the request that downloads new case content.
- We do not sell any data. We have essentially none to sell.
02. What is collected, and by whom
Your game progress
Stored: which cases you have solved, your accusation history, detective rank and profile, difficulty preference, sound and haptics settings, and any case you are part-way through.
Where: in the app’s private preferences storage on your device, protected by the Android sandbox. None of this is uploaded anywhere. It is not backed up to our servers, because we do not run one for this game. If you clear the app’s data or uninstall it, this progress is gone permanently.
Google AdMob
The game shows interstitial ads between cases and rewarded video ads you can choose to watch in exchange for an in-game benefit. These are served by Google AdMob.
Data Google may collect for this: your Google Advertising ID (GAID), IP address, device model, operating system version, mobile network operator, and ad interaction events such as impressions and clicks.
Purpose: delivering ads, limiting how often you see them, measuring ad performance, and detecting ad fraud. Rewarded ads are entirely optional โ the game is completable without watching a single one.
Your control: reset or delete your Advertising ID under Android Settings › Google › Ads. Where required by law, an ad consent prompt appears before personalised ads are served, and you may decline.
Downloading new cases
New and updated mystery cases are published as content files and downloaded by the game from a public content delivery network (jsDelivr, serving files from a public GitHub repository).
What is sent: an ordinary anonymous HTTPS request for a file. Like any web request, the CDN sees your IP address, and general request metadata such as the time and the user agent, which it processes for delivery and abuse prevention.
What is not sent: nothing about you or your gameplay. No identifier, no progress, no device fingerprint. The request does not say who you are or how far you have got.
03. What we never collect
To be completely unambiguous, Detective IRA does not collect, store, or transmit:
- Your name, email address, phone number, or postal address
- Any account credential โ there is no account to have one for
- Your contacts, SMS messages, call logs, or calendar
- Camera, microphone, photo, or file access
- Precise or approximate location
- Usage analytics, gameplay telemetry, or crash reports
- Anything at all sent to an NRDDA-operated server โ this game does not talk to one
The game contains no in-app purchases and no billing integration, so we never receive purchase or payment information either.
04. Android permissions we declare
| Permission | Category | Why the app needs it |
|---|---|---|
INTERNET | Network | Loading advertisements and downloading new case content. Nothing else uses the network. |
ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE | Network | Checking whether you are online before attempting a download, so the game fails gracefully offline instead of hanging. |
VIBRATE | Device feature | Haptic feedback when you tap evidence, unlock a clue, or lock in an accusation. Can be turned off in settings. |
com.google.android.gms.permission.AD_ID | Advertising | Allows Google AdMob to read the Advertising ID in order to serve ads. It is used for nothing else, and you can delete the ID from your device settings. |
That is the complete list. There is no notifications permission, no storage permission, and no location permission in this app.

07. Children’s privacy
Detective IRA is a mystery game aimed at a general teen and adult audience. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or under 16 in the EU/UK) โ and in practice the game collects no personal information from anyone.
- Advertisements served through AdMob are configured to comply with Google Play’s policies for the app’s declared content rating.
- If you believe a child’s personal data has somehow reached us, contact us and we will remove it promptly.
08. Your rights and controls
Because the game holds no account and no server-side record of you, there is nothing for us to export or erase on request. Your controls are direct:
- Erase all your game data: Android Settings › Apps › Detective IRA › Storage › Clear data, or uninstall the app. That is a complete erasure.
- Ad controls: reset or delete your Advertising ID under Android Settings › Google › Ads, and adjust your consent choice where the ad consent prompt is shown.
- Google-held ad data: requests about data held by Google as an advertising provider go to Google under their own privacy policy.
- Ask us anything: if you live somewhere with statutory data rights (India’s DPDP Act, EU/UK GDPR, California’s CCPA/CPRA), write to us and we will respond within 30 days, free of charge.
09. Security and retention
- In transit: ad and content requests use HTTPS/TLS.
- On device: save data lives in private app storage protected by the Android sandbox and is not readable by other apps.
- Retention: we retain nothing, because we store nothing. Your save data remains on your device until you clear it or uninstall. Ad data retention is governed by Google’s own schedules.
10. Changes to this policy
If a future update adds a feature that changes what the game collects โ cloud saves, leaderboards, or analytics, for example โ we will update this policy and its effective date before that version ships.
